Daniel E. Griffee is an experienced litigator and trial attorney who has worked extensively in resolving agricultural, insurance and general business disputes. Prior to earning his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Monterey College of Law in 2003, Dan worked in the commercial insurance industry for 15 years. For 5 years Dan served as Dole Fresh Vegetables’ Manager of Casualty, Property and Product Liabilities where he supervised Dole’s national self-insurance retention exposure and negotiated settlements of coverage disputes.

Combining his knowledge of the law with his business and insurance experience, Dan seeks to maximize his clients’ bottom line by informing them not only of the chances of litigation success but also its costs and viable alternatives. Dan understands that sometimes the best approach to resolve a dispute is not through expensive and protracted litigation but creative thinking.

Dan attended California State University Chico where he earned duel degrees in Political Science and Public Administration. During his time at CSU Chico, Dan served as director of CSU Chico’s Legal Aid Clinic and was also served as captain of Chico’s Lacrosse team. Dan has lived in the Central Coast area since 1990 and currently lives in Salinas with his family.

Dan is a member of the Monterey County Bar Association.
